In Week 1, St Michael’s Primary School students and staff came to school wearing their crazy socks! Everyone had a fantastic time showing off their colourful socks. More importantly, the day helped raise funds for Catholic Missions to support children and families in Zambia.

We’re proud to share that our school community raised an amazing $268! Thank you to all the generous St Michael’s families for your support. You made the day a success — bringing both joy to our students and hope to others. Thank you, and God bless.

Grandparents and Special Friends Liturgy

On Friday we will be acknowledging and celebrating the gift of grandparents and special friends in our St Michael’s community. Elderly relatives play a vital and unique role in the lives of children. There is a special bond between the elderly and children. They share their stories, wisdom, time and unconditional love. We give thanks to all  grandparents and special friends who are warmly invited to join us on Friday between 9-11 for activities, a liturgy and morning tea.

All Saints and Souls Day

This Saturday and Sunday the Church celebrates All Saints Day and All Souls Day. Feast days for different ‘famous’ saints are spread over the year, however on All Saints Day (November 1st), we thank God for all wonderful and faith-filled people in heaven. God challenges us to live a great life and we can all strive to live a ‘saintly’ life. All Souls Day (November 2nd) is a time for us to remember those who are on their final journey to be with God. We acknowledge all those who have died with prayerful faith and hope that they will have eternal rest in God’s love.

St Michael’s Vinnies Christmas Appeal

In 2024, the St Michael’s Kaleen Vinnies Conference asked the school to show its support for the less well off in our community in a new way. The school responded most generously. The school as part of the parish community is once again, in 2025, working with the St Michael’s Conference of the Society of St Vincent de Paul (Vinnies) to help those less fortunate in our community over Christmas and New Year. Your children’s class teachers will be allocating, to each of the children, an item to be provided for a class basket of food and festive items. These baskets will be distributed to our companions by our Vinnies Conference members before Christmas. The generosity of the school community, within the parish, demonstrates both a practical application of the values of the school and commemorates the gift of Jesus to the world by God the Father at Christmas.
