Winter Woolies Day/Feast of Mary MacKillop

A heartfelt thank you to all our St Michael’s families who so generously supported our Winter Woolies Day on Friday, 8th August. The day was filled with warmth in every sense—our students enjoyed being cosy in their favourite woolly gear while embracing the spirit of giving. As part of the day, students participated in social justice workshops that deepened their understanding of the needs within our wider community and highlighted the important work carried out by the St Vincent de Paul Society. These sessions encouraged empathy and reminded our students of the impact that small acts of kindness can have. Thanks to your incredible generosity, we were able to fill an entire Vinnies van with donations and raise an amazing $1051 for MacKillop House, a refuge supporting families in crisis. Representatives from the St Vincent de Paul Society were deeply grateful when they collected the donations, acknowledging once again the ongoing generosity of our St Michael’s community. Thank you once again for your kindness and generosity—together we are making a real difference.

Confirmation – Important Dates and Information

Candidates are now preparing themselves to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation by working through the Home Program, choosing a Saint’s name, Sponsor and reflecting on the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The Sacrament will be celebrated over the 16th, 17th, and 18th of September at St Michael’s and St Monica’s churches.

● Confirmation Retreat Day, supported by both St Michael’s and St Monica’s Primary Schools and School of Religion on Thursday, 4th September at St Monica’s School
● Parent and Child Activity Evening on Thursday, 4th September 6:00–7:00pm at St Monica’s Church
