Eucharist
Last weekend, students from St Michael’s received Jesus in the Sacrament of the Eucharist for the first time.
During the Masses, Fr Mick spoke to the candidates about the meaning of the word remembrance, reminding us that the way we remember Jesus is by being His ‘arms and legs’—becoming part of His body in the world. Our Eucharist candidates embraced the challenge of continuing Jesus’ mission by becoming gifts of peace, kindness, and love in our community.
We warmly congratulate Ryder, Felix, Ellis, Lillian, Eden, Maria, Jerry, Carol, Sofia, and Anthia on taking this important step in their faith journey and committing to being Eucharistic people.
Preparing for this special day takes dedication and support. A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved, including families, Sr Kate, teachers Ms Shianne Sahariv and Ms Annabel McInnes, our Sacramental Coordinator Leanne Smith and Fr Mick for guiding and supporting the candidates and helping them understand the significance of this sacred event in their lives.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Feast Day
Mother Mary, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, after whom our parish is named, is known for her miracles and answered prayers.
Next Friday, 27 June, we will celebrate the Feast Day of Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
Students in Kindergarten to Year 4 will participate in a class liturgy and then join together for rotations designed to deepen their understanding of our patron saint. St Michael’s classes will also partner with a class from St Monica’s to share their learnings from the day.
Students in Years 5 and 6 will travel by bus to St Monica’s, Evatt, where they will celebrate Mass, take part in activities, and enjoy a shared morning tea.
Families are warmly invited to attend the 9:30am Mass at St Monica’s Church, Evatt, as well as the shared morning tea that follows.
