Year 6 Confirmation

Currently we have Year 6 students preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation. They have attended commitment masses and are working through the home program with their families. For the next few weeks, leading up to the Sacrament, Confirmation candidates will also be visiting a class to share in their preparation and pray with them.

On Thursday the 5th of September all of Year 6 from St Michael’s, St Monica’s and the School of Religion will participate in a Retreat Day. The day is a part of students’ Religious Education Program and also supports the Parish Sacramental Program for Confirmation. The focus of the day will be participating in activities to enrich the students’ understanding of the Holy Spirit and reflecting on personal growth and future possibilities. On the day, all students’ will be presented with a letter of affirmation to them from either their sponsor and/or parent and will write a response. If your child is in Year 6 and you/your child’s sponsor are yet to write a letter, please do so asap and send into school with your child’s name. More information will be sent out this week to Year 6 families in regard to the Retreat Day.
