Principal's Page - Judy Egan
Dear Parents and Carers,
It was a great night at the disco last week and I sincerely thank all involved including the ladies from the working group, the Glitter Bar, SFX volunteers and Labutte Family (Photo Booth). The children had a great time, and we thank everyone who helped them get into the Fluro’s 80s theme!

CECG Governance
Earlier this year, Archbishop Christopher announced changes to the governance arrangements for Catholic Education within the Archdiocese from 2025. This will result in a change to the proprietor of each Catholic School in the ACT but will not otherwise materially impact school operations. If you would like further information about this change, or you would like to provide feedback about the change in proprietor, please contact governance@cg.catholic.edu.au by 19 July 2024.
Child Safety
Did you know that Catholic Education and our school has a Child Safe Policy which outlines our approach to child safety? This can be accessed on the Catholic Education Safeguarding Page. We encourage you to visit this page and review CECG policy. As part of our approach to child safety Bridgette McCann is also St Michael’s Child Safe Advocate who works closely with our school regarding our approach and response to child safety matters. This approach involves proactive strategies to safeguard our students as well as responding to areas of concerns. The area of child safety includes many parts of a school’s operation such as day to day activities, school events and school camps. We encourage you to contact us should you like to discuss this further.
Staffing news
We wish Mrs Erika Tokich a wonderful holiday as she accesses some well-earned leave with her family over the next few weeks. Information has been sent out to 1/2 Blue families. During her absence we welcome Miss Emily O’Rourke to the role of Religious Education Coordinator. Bridgette McCann has also taken a short period of leave over the next 2 weeks. Thank you to Danielle Madsen who will be stepping into the Assistant Principal role.
Over the past few weeks several of our staff and families have lost loved ones. We extend our deepest sympathy to all and may God bless them with his loving presence.
Thank you to all our families who took the opportunity to meet with teachers this week. We really value the partnership we start in kindergarten when our families enrol with us. We are privileged to share in the learning and growth of your precious children.
Thank you for your continued support.
Many blessings,
