Principal's Page - Judy Egan
Dear Parents and Carers,
It was a privilege to celebrate the Sacrament of Eucharist with students and their families last Sunday at the 8am Mass. Sharing Eucharist is an intimate encounter with Christ and his presence strengthens us during our times of need. Jesus said, “I am the bread of life”, when we receive him into our hearts we are nourished by His love and are called to give this love to others. Congratulations to all our students and their families and heartfelt thanks to Father Mick, Mrs Tokich, Ms Blakey, Miss DeMattia and the Parish Team for their support.
Reports and Discussions
School reports will be shared with families via COMPASS this Friday 21st June. As per CECG directives, Semester One Reports give grades only. Last week we sent information home regarding bookings for parent/teacher discussions around student progress, Monday 24 June- Wednesday 26 June. The reports alone provide data around performance, however the discussion with your child’s teacher will be a much more personal opportunity to share your child’s learning strengths and challenges and their progress around learning goals. Please let the teachers know if you book a time and are unable to attend the meeting. We understand that there is a lot of family illness at present and unforeseen events occur.
Community Council Corner
The Community Council Executive met on Monday evening, and all is full steam ahead for the Disco tomorrow night! A huge thank you to the fundraising working group and all involved. The next family event is Winter Woollies on the last day of this term-Friday 5 July- donations of warm clothing, blankets etc. would be appreciated from the community. Vinnies will be visiting on the day. Keep the date free for our Trivia Night- Thursday August 8, more information will follow. If you would like to be a part of any working groups or lend a hand with the Trivia night please call the front office.
Thank you for your continued support.
Many blessings,
