Dear Families
Week 7 at St Michael’s has begun with a focus on the Sabbath. Staff, students and families are reminded to take a break, be still and listen to God. At such a busy time of year I would encourage families to take a moment out of your schedules to reflect and enjoy some quiet time together, enjoy playing a game, go for a walk or spend time away from devices and talking. Staff are also limiting meetings and enjoying moments of peace and tranquillity and deepening connections with God.
Online Triple P - Positive Parenting Program
Parents and carers are offered access to free online parenting courses developed in Australia by the Triple P – Positive Parenting Program, thanks to Australian Government funding. Families are invited to access the following link:
https://www.triplep-parenting.net.au/au/triple-p/ for guides on specific programs and online resources, assisting with the everyday challenges that parents and carers face raising calm, resilient and happy children.
Attendance
Please ensure that your child/ren are on time for school and that any absences are kept to a minimum. If your child is having difficulty transitioning to school or you are experiencing school refusal, please reach out to us and we can work together to develop a plan to support your child.
Reports & Interviews
Semester 2 reports will be issued via Compass in week 9 Monday 4th December. Your child’s teacher may request an interview to discuss progress. Parents can book an optional appointment for an interview between 5th- 8th December through the Compass portal. We will advise once the interview booking system becomes live in Compass.Staffing for 2024
We are currently in the process of finalising staffing arrangements and class teachers and roles will be announced in the coming weeks.
Personalised Plans and Parent/Teacher Handover Meetings
Teachers are currently updating Personalised Plans and beginning to make transition plans for students that require additional adjustments. Robyn O’Rourke our Classroom Support Teacher will be in contact shortly to organise meetings and handover discussions.

Please let us know if you have had a change of circumstances and will not be returning to St Michael’s in 2023.
Many blessings,
