Kindness Day

Remembrance Day
Remembrance Day marks the end of World War One in 1918. On this day we acknowledge and remember with thanksgiving those who made a huge sacrifice for us in time of war. It is also a day we can all dedicate ourselves to the cause of justice, freedom and peace; and for the wisdom and strength to build a better world. All are welcome to join us on Friday the 10th of November, during our assembly, when we will be commemorating Remembrance Day. Any defence parents who would like to be part of the commemoration, please contact: erika.tokich@cg.catholic.edu.au
Fr Mick Classroom Visit
Year 1/2 have been learning about the different roles in our local parish community. This week we welcomed Fr Mick into our classrooms to speak to us about his role in the community. The students listened as he spoke about his many jobs including celebrating mass, visiting schools, listening to those in need, preparing families for sacraments and looking after the parish (including his favourite pastime gardening). Following the visit the students reflected on Fr Mick’s qualities. St Michael’s community is blessed to have such a kind, caring and faithful parish priest.
