Sport & Library News - Erin Hardwicke

We have entered 3/4 netball, 5/6 netball, 3/4 touch football and 5/6 touch football teams! Thank you all those who have volunteered to assist as coaches, managers and umpires. We are still looking to fill a few of these rolls. If you are able to assist, please get in touch.

If you would still like your child to participate please return the permission note via Compass. 

Please note that on some occasions we are unable to enter teams due to not having a sufficient number of players. It is a requirement of the organisers that each team is able to provide a coach, umpire/referee and manager. We are dependent on parent volunteers for these roles and your time is very much appreciated. 

Parents need to arrange their own transport/car pooling to and from Boorowa. It is 1.5-2hr drive from Canberra.

ACT Athletics Carnival - Congratulations
Congratulations to Zari (5/6S), Mahli (3/4O), Ishika (5/6S), Tiwa (3/4O) and Amalie (3/4O), who will represent Belconnen region at the ACT athletics championships on Tuesday 12 September at the AIS. We wish them all the best!
National Cross Country Championships
On Saturday Mahli (3/4O) will represent the ACT at the National Championships. We wish her all the best! Remember to drink lots of water in the lead up, Mahli ;-)
Book Week Dress up Day and Parade is Tomorrow!
We look forward to seeing your amazing book character dress ups. Our parade will take place at 9:00. Parents are welcome to join us.

All students loved our visit today from Leonie Pye. Leonie shared her books with us as well as her experiences of being vision impaired. We thank Leonie for generously donating her time. 
Signed copies of 'The Little Shell', can be purchased for $10.00 (cash) with $3.00 from each book being donated to Guide Dogs NSW/ACT.
Books can be purchased from the Book Fair.

Overdue Library Books
Many of our students have LOTS of overdue library books. Please return them so all students have the opportunity to enjoy them. We appreciate your help with this.
We now have a Story Box Library subscription for all our students and their families to access. Story Box Library is a wonderful way of accessing a range of high-quality children's literature. Please see the attachments for more information as well as login and password details.
