Here is some information and a great article about a Canberra based charity Water Wombats

Mainstream Learn-to-Swim programs are often busy and overwhelming for children with additional needs, have anxiety or just need extra support to learn a new skill.
The WaterWombats program offers a number of flexible, innovative techniques and fresh methodologies. But at the core of our mission, lies our commitment to providing an engaging, respectful and rewarding learning environment.
The program will also be offering Aqua therapy by Allied Health professionals.
The organisation is also involved in the Giving Day Appeal (8 March) organised by Hands across Canberra – So we are actively looking at donations/sponsorships through this campaign and to call people to action for change and keeping support locally!
It would be awesome if the St Michael's community could rally around to get us over the line. Funds will be put to supporting the family support program – which is a paid counsellor/social worker to support families with challenges such as the NDIS, behaviours or support networks.
