I hope that you and your family members are keeping safe and well. It is important to acknowledge that we have had some cases of students testing positive but only a small number. In these cases, symptoms have been very mild. If your child tests positive-
You must notify the school

Please ensure that you keep your child at home until they are no longer experiencing symptoms.
We are continuing to implement our COVID-19 safe practices including-
- Hand sanitising/washing
- Ventilation
- General good hygiene practice, using tissues etc.
- Cleaning of surfaces
We have some RATS available if your family requires them.
The latest information regarding ACT Health Guidelines is available via this link-
Our school community has done an exceptional job minimising the risks of the spread of COVID-19 and I sincerely thank families for their consistent and sensible approach.
Fun Day for all
This Friday, 9 December we will be having our Rainbow Awards, Farewell to Father Luis and Miss Frogley and Miss Lewis. We will start with an assembly in the hall at 9:15 am. Rainbow Awards will be presented for Term 4. Students are welcome to come dressed in play clothes- Christmas t-shirts are very welcome! All parents are welcome to attend. After Assembly the students will participate in fruit break with their teachers and classes in the courtyard and parents are welcome to join us for some fruit.
Students will be provided with morning tea and a BBQ lunch. Please bring along your water bottle to drink throughout the day.
Staffing
I notified families last week that Mr Webb would be moving on to new challenges in 2023. Damien has worked in the Assistant Principal role as well as periods of Acting Principal in the past 6 years. He has been fondly known as the ‘quiz master’ and never lets the side down on dress-up days! Damien’s generosity and ‘will-do’ attitude has been a huge asset to our community. His leadership of sustainability particularly in Miss Jordan’s Garden and the maintenance and care of the Greenhouse has been exemplary. Damien is well-regarded for his kindness and generosity and stepping in where needed. While he is sad to leave us, he is also excited for new challenges and possibilities closer to home.
Please join us for the Giving Mass on Tuesday 13 December, afterwards we will be thanking God for the blessing of Damien after Mass.
I will provide further information around staffing and classes before the end of the year, when teachers and classes are finalised.
Camp
Thank you to our generous staff who accompanied our 5/6 students to camp- it was a great time for all. Teachers and camp staff commented on how settled our students were and we are all very proud of them.
Pavers
The pavers look fantastic and have been arranged around the garden beds, this will protect them from tree-roots and weather damage.
The building works will continue in the holidays and the new signs and flag poles are looking great.
Thank you for your continued support.
Many Blessings,
Judy Egan
